What are you going to do with Toby?

I know.  This is like the most pressing question, right?  How are you heartless pet owners leaving on your trip when you have the responsibility of a young shepherd animal on your hands.  Well, we're doing it.  The good news is that Taryn's dad, Bruce, is going to take care of Toby.  Bruce lives in Long Beach California and is retired.  He spends his days riding bikes and wishing he had a dog.  This really is basically the best possible outcome that we could hope for for our furry little son.  

What are you going to do with Tiberius?

People meet other people for a reason. Our friend Mark came into our lives only in the last 3 months or so but boy are we glad we're friends. He's not only caring for our sweet kitty but also letting us store our Element in his giant garage. Karma on karma on karma.

Where are you going on your trip?  Do you have an itinerary?

First we're going to Vietnam from Dec.7-28.  Then we are flying to Auckland on December 28th.  After that you'll have to read our really interesting and enlightening blog posts to find out what our plans are.   But really we actually have no plans.  Like none.  We didn't plan anything in New Zealand.  We'll be there for 3 months.  After we have run out of time in NZ we don't know where we'll go next.

What are you going to do when you get back?

We will most likely prostitute ourselves for extra cash and utilize Medicaid for as long as possible.  Is that the answer you wanted?  Jeez obviously we'll find jobs and settle down and have kids and be fine.  Obviously.

How are you even paying for this trip?

See Question #4.  Just kidding.  We have been saving $100 here and $1000 there (diverting loan repayment monies) for the last year or so and have accumulated enough savings to support us for at least 6 months or so on a budget of $60/day.
